Statewide public questions
Candidates
The list of races and candidates is the Division of Elections' official candidate list for the November 3, 2026 general election , in the order of the Division of Elections' official list (your county clerk draws the order on your ballot), with names as they appear on the ballot. Where a candidate lives is the town in the mailing address on the Division of Elections' official list. Many candidates gave a P.O. box, so the town may be where they get mail rather than where they live. Each profile lists checkable facts with links to where they came from, the candidate's own stated priorities clearly labeled as theirs, and links to official records and campaign finance filings. We don't rate candidates, list endorsements, or publish polling.
Counties and local questions
County pages list every county office, district judge and city race we have. We have not collected local questions for this state yet. Wording for local questions is quoted only from official sources and marked "wording to come" where we don't have it yet.
Districts
District lines on the map come from U.S. Census Bureau files of the New Jersey Apportionment Commission's 2021 legislative map (40 districts; each elects 1 senator and 2 Assembly members). Not used this year: the legislature is not on the 2026 ballot.. Your sample ballot is the final word.
