Every race, every candidate

All 316 candidates on the State Board of Elections' official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. Judges on the retention ballot have their own page: Judges. County offices, district judges and city races are listed on each county page.

Governor, statewide offices and courts

Statewide, voters choose a governor and lieutenant governor (one ticket), a comptroller and an attorney general. No U.S. Senate seat is up this year. Voters also decide whether to keep one Supreme Court of Maryland justice (4th Appellate Circuit voters) and one Appellate Court judge (statewide).

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House. House members write and vote on federal laws, taxes and spending. A term is two years.

State Senate

Your district's one senator in the Maryland Senate (47 members). Senators write and vote on state laws and taxes and propose changes to the state constitution for voters to decide, like the questions on this ballot. A term is four years.

All 47 state Senate seats are on the ballot; senators serve four-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.

State House

Your district's vote in the Maryland House of Delegates (141 members, three per district). Delegates write and vote on state laws and taxes and propose changes to the state constitution for voters to decide. A term is four years.

All 141 House of Delegates seats are on the ballot; delegates serve four-year terms. Most districts elect three delegates, so you may vote for up to three; some districts are split into smaller subdistricts (for example 1A, 1B). Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.
