Every race, every candidate

All 246 candidates on the Secretary of State's official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County offices, district judges and city races are listed on each county page.

U.S. Senate

No governor or other statewide executive office is on the ballot in West Virginia this year. Statewide, voters choose a U.S. senator and vote on one constitutional amendment. The state Supreme Court and Intermediate Court of Appeals races were decided in the nonpartisan election on May 12, 2026.

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House. House members write and vote on federal laws, taxes and spending, and every bill to raise taxes has to start in the House. A term is two years.

State Senate

One of your district's two votes in the West Virginia Senate. Senators write and vote on state laws and the state budget, approve many of the governor's appointments, and put constitutional amendments on the ballot with a two-thirds vote. A term is four years.

Each of the 17 state Senate districts elects two senators, and their four-year terms are staggered. One seat in every district is on the ballot this year. Districts 3 and 17 also have a race to finish an unexpired term. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.

State House

Your district's vote in the West Virginia House of Delegates, the larger chamber of the Legislature. Delegates write and vote on state laws and the state budget, and propose constitutional amendments like the one on this ballot. A term is two years.

All 100 House of Delegates seats are on the ballot; delegates serve two-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot. Every district is listed, from the Secretary of State's candidate list.
