Every race, every candidate

All 255 candidates on the Secretary of State's official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County and local races are on your sample ballot.

Statewide: Supreme Court

No U.S. Senate seat or statewide executive office is on the ballot. Five state Supreme Court seats are, and every voter votes on all five.

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House, which writes federal laws, taxes and spending. A term is two years.

State Senate

Your district's one senator in the Washington Senate (49 members). Senators write and vote on state laws and the budget, and confirm the governor's appointments. A term is four years.

About half of the 49 state Senate seats are on the ballot this year; senators serve four-year terms.

State House

Your district has two seats in the Washington House of Representatives (98 members), each its own contest. Representatives write and vote on state laws and the budget. A term is two years.

All 98 state House seats are on the ballot: two per district, in separate Position 1 and Position 2 contests. Representatives serve two-year terms.
