Every race, every candidate

All 40 candidates on the Department of Elections' official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County offices, district judges and city races are listed on each county page.

U.S. Senate

No governor or other statewide state office is on the ballot in Virginia this year; those were elected in 2025. Statewide, voters choose a U.S. senator and vote on three constitutional amendment questions. Virginia judges are chosen by the General Assembly, not by voters.

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House. House members write and vote on federal laws, taxes and spending, and every bill to raise taxes has to start in the House. A term is two years.

State Senate

The Senate of Virginia is not on the ballot this year; its next regular election is in 2027.

State House

Your district's vote in the Virginia House of Delegates. Delegates write and vote on state laws and the state budget, and pass proposed constitutional amendments like the ones on this ballot. A full term is two years; this special election fills the rest of a term ending in January 2028.

Only one House of Delegates seat is on the ballot: a special election in District 20 (Manassas, Manassas Park and part of Prince William County). The other 99 delegates were elected in 2025 for two-year terms.
