Every race, every candidate

All 366 candidates on the State Board of Elections' official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County offices, district judges and city races are listed on each county page.

U.S. Senate and statewide courts

No governor or other statewide executive office is on the ballot in North Carolina this year. Statewide, voters choose a U.S. senator, one N.C. Supreme Court justice and three N.C. Court of Appeals judges. Judges in North Carolina run in partisan races, like other offices.

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House. House members write and vote on federal laws, taxes and spending, and every bill to raise taxes has to start in the House. A term is two years.

State Senate

Your district's vote in the N.C. Senate. Senators write and vote on state laws and the state budget, approve some of the governor's appointments, and can override the governor's veto with three-fifths of the vote. A term is two years.

All 50 state Senate seats are on the ballot; senators serve two-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.

State House

Your district's vote in the N.C. House of Representatives. Members write and vote on state laws and the state budget, and propose constitutional amendments like the ones on this ballot. A term is two years.

All 120 state House seats are on the ballot; members serve two-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.
