Every race, every candidate

The candidates we found on the Division of Elections' official files, each with a profile page. Judges on the retention ballot have their own page: Judges.

INCOMPLETE. Statewide offices, all 10 State Senate races on the list and 33 of the 40 State House districts are listed. Districts 1 to 7 and the Senate come from the Division of Elections candidate list (page 1 of 3 is all we have). Districts 9 to 24 and 31 to 40 are from the sample ballots in the Division’s Official Election Pamphlets for Regions I to IV. State House Districts 8 and 25 to 30 (Region V, Wasilla) have no candidates listed because no official file for them reached us. Certified write-ins are shown only where the list page shows them. County, borough and city races are not covered.

Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House and the state Supreme Court

Statewide, voters choose a governor and lieutenant governor (one team), a U.S. senator, one U.S. House member for the whole state, one state Supreme Court justice (keep or remove), and ballot measures. The general election uses ranked-choice voting for these races. Judges are not ranked; they get a yes or no vote.

U.S. House

Alaska’s one vote in the U.S. House, for the whole state. House members vote on federal laws, taxes and spending.

State Senate

Only ten of the 20 Senate districts have candidates on the official list: A, C, E, G, I, K, M, O, Q and S. The other ten are not on this year’s ballot. A district with one candidate is still on the ballot.

State House

INCOMPLETE: 33 of the 40 State House districts are listed. Districts 1 to 7 are from the Division of Elections’ official candidate list (page 1 of 3). Districts 9 to 24 and 31 to 40 are from the sample ballots in the Division’s Official Election Pamphlets for Regions I to IV (official as of September 18, 2026). Districts 8 and 25 to 30 are in Region V (Wasilla), whose pamphlet we do not have, and are marked INCOMPLETE. Certified write-ins are not in the pamphlets, so a district may also have a write-in we do not show. Your sample ballot lists every race you can vote in.
