City of Castle Pines 300Voter approval for annexations over 20 acres
In plain words
- Citizen-petition charter amendment requiring voter approval before annexing property over 20 acres under single or related ownership; related annexations are aggregated.
- Placed on the ballot after a controversial annexation proposal that was not annexed. The city recently adopted its first annexation policy (favors open space of at least 30%, not solely residential, contiguous, public benefit).
