Ballot Propositions

Every Wyoming voter decides these 1. Each page has the official ballot title word for word, what a yes or no vote does, and links to the full text.

• Proposition 1 Cut the property tax on a home you live in by taking half of the house's value off the tax billmajority of those voting to pass

  Biggest change: Half (50%) of the assessed value of a qualified owner’s primary residence would be exempt from property tax..

Citizens who gathered signatures put this proposition on the ballot (it is headed "Proposed Initiative Proposition Number One"). It asks "Shall a law be enacted", so it would create a state law, not change the constitution. The Voter's Guide says it passes if approved by a majority of those voting in the General Election.
