Constitutional Amendments

Every South Dakota voter decides these 4. Each page has what a yes or no vote does in plain words and links to the full text. The Attorney General's official title, explanation and Yes and No effects for Amendments I, J, K and L are quoted word for word on each page from the Secretary of State's pamphlet.

All four were placed on the ballot by the Legislature and change the South Dakota Constitution. Each passes with a simple majority of the votes cast on it. (If Amendment L passes, later amendments would need 60%.) Source: Secretary of State: 2026 ballot question pamphlet (PDF) .
