Every race, every candidate

All 33 candidates on the Mississippi Secretary of State's official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County and local races are on your sample ballot.

Not in this guide: chancery court and circuit court judge races (120 contests, nonpartisan). They are on the official sample ballot, but we did not build pages for them. Your county sample ballot lists them.

Statewide and judicial races

The only statewide race this year is U.S. Senate. Mississippi elects its governor and other statewide officers in odd years (next in 2027).

U.S. House

A U.S. Representative helps write and vote on federal laws and the federal budget for one district. Mississippi has 4 districts. Each term is 2 years.

State Senate

No State Senate seats are up on Nov 3, 2026.

State House

A state representative votes on Mississippi laws and the state budget for one district. The winner of a special election serves the rest of the current term, which ends in January 2028.

No regular State House races this year. Special elections are on the ballot only in House Districts 70 and 77.
