Every race, every candidate

All 352 candidates on the Maine Secretary of State's official list for federal, statewide and legislative offices, each with a profile page. County and local races are on your sample ballot.

Governor and U.S. Senate

Statewide, Maine voters choose a governor and a U.S. senator. The U.S. Senate race uses ranked-choice voting; the governor's race does not. Maine's attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer are chosen by the Legislature, not by voters, and Maine does not elect judges.

U.S. House

Your district's one vote in the U.S. House. House members write and vote on federal laws, taxes and spending, and every bill to raise taxes has to start in the House. A term is two years. Maine has two districts.

State Senate

Your district's vote in the Maine Senate (35 members). Senators write and vote on state laws and the state budget, confirm the governor's picks for judges and other posts, and, with the House, choose Maine's attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer. A term is two years, with a limit of four terms in a row.

All 35 state Senate seats are on the ballot; senators serve two-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.

State House

Your district's vote in the Maine House of Representatives (151 members). Members write and vote on state laws and the state budget, and can send constitutional amendments and bonds to voters. A term is two years, with a limit of four terms in a row.

All 151 state House seats are on the ballot; members serve two-year terms. Races with one candidate are still on the ballot.
